Djibouti: A Djiboutian aircraft, carrying 38 tons of medicines and food items, arrived in the Somali capital of Mogadishu on Saturday.
Djibouti's Secretary General Mohamed Abdullah Wais said this initiative comes after the Cabinet decided on Tuesday to send food and medical assistance to Somalia to help save the victims of the extreme drought that hit large parts of the country.

Wais told reporters that further consignments of medical and food aid will be sent to Somalia within the next few days, in accordance with the directives of President Ismail Omar Guelleh, in order to alleviate the suffering of those affected by the drought.
