DEO reviews bye-poll preparedness in Ganderbal

Ganderbal/March, 20: District Election Officer (Deputy Commissioner) Ganderbal, Tariq Hussain Ganai, Monday chaired a meeting to take a detailed review of preparations for upcoming bypolls in the district for Srinagar Parliamentary Constituency.
The meeting held threadbare discussions on security arrangements, manpower and material management, transport plan, EVMs operation training schedule, facilities for voters at polling stations, identification of strong rooms, training schedule of Zonal & Sectoral Magistrates and other related matters.
On the occasion, the DEO impressed the designated nodal officers to discharge their duties in a professional manner and ensure enforcement of MCC and other Election Commission of India guidelines in letter and spirit for smooth conduct of elections in the district.
He directed the concerned officers to ensure necessary arrangements like electricity, water supply, washroom and other facilities at all the 208 designated polling stations in the district.
ADC Ganderbal, ARO’s, Nodal Officers and other concerned attended the meeting.
