DEO Ang convenes meeting with reps of political parties

Anantnag/March, 20: District Election Officer Anantnag, Dr Syed Abid Rasheed Shah, who is also the Returning Officer for Anantnag Parliamentary Constituency, Monday convened a meeting with the representatives of various political parties regarding forthcoming Lok Sabha bye-elections.
The DEO sought cooperation of the representatives in smooth, free and fair conduct of the elections.
He apprised them about various guidelines of the model code of conduct and asked them to adhere to it strictly.
The meeting was convened in the back drop of previous meeting with the representatives of political parties wherein they were requested to discuss the location change in respect of 5 polling stations with their respective party heads. The representatives of political parties unanimously acquiesced to the changes made by the RO.
On the occasion, the representatives expressed satisfaction over the arrangements made by the District Election Officer Anantnag.
