PDP kick starts election campaign
‘I am confident of my victory: Tasaduq Mufti

Anantnag/March,18: People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate from South Kashmir for Lok Sabha polls, Tasaduq Mufti Saturday kick started his election campaign by holding a convention at Dak Bungalow Anantnag.
In the largely attended convention, supporters of PDP in one voice echoed acceptance of candidature of Tasaduq Hussain Mufti and announced to work tirelessly to ensure his victory.
At least two thousands of supporters of PDP had gathered on the venue, which included Panches, Sarpanches, common voters, prominent citizens and PDP top brass including Dr Haseeb Drabu, Abdul Rehman Veeray, Abdul Haq Khan and others.
In his brief speech, Tasaduq Mufti, the cinematographer turned politician and the brother of incumbent Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir said that he is because of workers and the party. He asked workers not to play with their lives for ensuring his victory. “Whether I will win or not, it will still be our victory,” he said.
“Whether you will ensure my victory or not, I will continue to work for my party,” he said.
The ‘over enthusiastic’ workers of PDP from South Kashmir raised pro-party slogans throughout the meeting.
