Speaker inaugurates, inspects dev works in Apna Vihar
Says ‘quality of basic services reflects Govt’s efficiency’

Jammu/March, 15: Speaker, Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, Kavinder Gupta, on Wednesday visited Apna Vihar colony and assessed the availability of basic amenities in the locality. He also inspected pace of progress of ongoing development works in the area.
The Speaker, while inaugurating an entrance facility in the area, said the present dispensation is working under a well-knit plan to upgrade the existing infrastructure besides launching new development programs to ensure enhanced facilities to the people. He spelled out several schemes being implemented by the state and the Central government to give further boost to social, economic, cultural and political good of the people as well.
“The quality of basic services determines the velocity and standard of development profile in an area and also reflects the efficiency of the Government”, the Speaker asserted while interacting with groups of people during his extensive tour of the area.
The Speaker directed the concerned authorities to complete all the works including construction of lanes, drains and approach roads within the stipulated time. He also appealed the people to keep tab on the quality of works taken in their respective areas.
During the visit, officers of the concerned departments accompanied the Speaker.
